Charles Edgar Fritts
Charles Edgar Fritts was an American inventor. He was also the man who invented solar cells. He discovered how to collect solar energy. Fritts was the first person to make a working solar cell in 1883. He made solar cells, but someone else made the modern solar cell. His name was Russell Shoemaker Ohl.
